Behavioral Analyst

Job Description
At Midway Therapy Center, we offer therapeutic services and early intervention plans for
children and adolescents under the age of 21 who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and
related conditions. We offer compassionate services that are inclusive and supportive for
children, teens, and their families.
Role and responsibilities

  • Conduct sessions to identify key deficits for patients and their families.
  • Conduct weekly training sessions for service providers and families.
  • Work with BCBA to help develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient.
  • Work alongside BCBA to adjust treatment procedures and plans as needed.
  • Provide objective treatment targets and goals, perform data collection and measurement, identify reinforcers and guide reinforcer delivery.
  • Work on prompts, instructions, materials, and discriminative stimuli, as well as contextual variables.
  • Observe providers and clients to determine if the procedures and components of the treatment plan are effective for the patients or if they need adjustments.
  • Offer active direction of EIDBI providers while the provider delivers services to patients:
    • Ensure the provider is using procedures correctly
    • Correct errors in the implementation of the treatment plan
    • Train the provider to use modified procedures
    • Observe children with or without providers to test the implementation of the treatment plan. Observe tests of modified protocols.
    • Analyze treatment data and collaborate with BCBA to adjust treatment protocols as needed.

 

ABA Therapist

Qualifications

  • Must have a high level of communication, adaptability, and creativity.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, which includes working with residents in a hospital or
  • psychiatric setting.
  • Experience de-escalating tense situations.
  • Ability to describe different de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to conduct physical interventions to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check with the Department of Health and Human Services

Responsibilities

  • The ABA therapist role requires that you help identify personalized goals for patients to
  • improve their quality of life.
  • You will provide direct client care through the use of intensive teaching and natural
  • environment training.
  • You will follow the behavioral skill acquisition path for each patient.
  • You will follow the behavior reduction protocols as outlined in the personalized treatment
  • plans for each patient.
  • Focus on the use of antecedent strategies for reducing interference behaviors.
  • Record and summarize data related to client behavior.
  • Use positive-based input and feedback from team members regarding individuals in the
  • program.
  • Advocate for individuals in treatment at the facility.
  • Have full knowledge of permitted, restricted, and prohibited procedures.
  • Work with medical professionals, intercompany teams, therapists, and community
  • members as well as patients.
  • Use safe and appropriate procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Work collaboratively with a team.

Clinical Supervisor

Job Description

  • Assist BCBA(s) in the design and oversight of all ABA programs
  • Meet productivity goals defined by BCBA
  • Provide direct behavioral therapy services to clients as needed
  • Review and provide feedback on treatment plans
  • Help to implement treatment plans
  • Have the skills to work with families who might not have a full understanding of patient diagnoses
  • Provide clinical supervision as well as consultation and direction of staff on a daily basis
  • Handle client-related concerns
  • Help with managing difficult behavioral cases
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills such as listening skills, leadership skills, and collaboration skills
  • Develop and collaborate with treatment teams during the creation of treatment plans for clients in the program.
  • Observe and maintain confidentiality for both children and families/caregivers according to professional and ethical standards as well as state and federal guidelines and laws.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • At least 1,500 hours of supervised clinical experience or training in the treatment of those with ASD or a related condition or equivalent documented coursework. Coursework must be at the graduate level with an accredited university that offers training related to ASD diagnoses and developmental and behavioral strategies. Must have experience with typical child development or related coursework from a recognized program.
